We Need Volunteers Like You
Our mission is to bring like-minded people together who are looking to make primary healthcare available to people in need around the world. We will do this through disease prevention, health promotion, and illness management. Working in partnerships with universities and local communities, we rely on volunteers and students to staff the facilities. We offer students the opportunity to put their medical skills to use thus adding to their education.
We will offset costs through donations, state funding, and collaborations with medical suppliers. Building long-term, environmentally conscious, and sustainable facilities, our goal is to be a permanent fixture that provides long-term stability through healthcare for all.
Local volunteers of all ages over 18, backgrounds, and interests enjoy contributing their time to the US office of Global Health Shift. Volunteers work in positions that may involve clerical work or specialist skills and experience. To apply to volunteer in one of our United States offices (not as an intern), please complete the volunteer application form. You will then be placed in our volunteer pool. Once there, you will receive email notifications for volunteer opportunities, both short-term and long-term. Please note that you are eligible for any sort of volunteer position, depending on your qualifications.
Join GHS to Bridge the Healthcare Gap
At Global Health Shift, our mission is to transform the landscape of healthcare by providing essential primary care to individuals and communities with limited or no access to basic medical services. We are committed to addressing the healthcare disparities that leave many without the care they need, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or location, can receive quality healthcare.
In parallel, we dedicate ourselves to the education and professional development of medical students and those in related fields. By offering hands-on experience in our clinics, we empower future healthcare providers with the skills and knowledge they need to excel. Our student-staffed clinics serve as a vital training ground, where aspiring medical professionals can make a tangible difference while gaining invaluable real-world experience.
We believe in the power of utilizing resources for the greater good. Our innovative approach involves leveraging partnerships with universities and ethical pharmaceutical companies to maximize our impact. These collaborations enable us to provide the necessary equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals, ensuring our clinics are well-equipped to serve those in need.
Our commitment extends beyond immediate care. We aim to make long-term impacts on the societies we serve, fostering healthier communities through sustained efforts in primary care, health prevention, and education. By creating enduring relationships and collaborations with educational institutions and ethical industry partners, we build a robust network dedicated to improving public health.
At Global Health Shift, we are not just providing healthcare; we are building a movement. A movement towards a future where access to primary care is a universal right, education is seamlessly integrated with service, and every action is driven by a commitment to the greater good. Through our efforts, we strive to create lasting change and inspire a new generation of healthcare providers to uphold these values in their careers and communities.
Our Volunteers Are Everywhere
We do not seek to be a short-term crisis relief help group, but to be an integral part of local communities for decades and centuries. Read more about our mission and get to know the team here.
